About Reiki

What Is Reiki?

Reiki is a Japanese energy healing practice based on the principle that gentle touch or light hand placement can support the body's natural ability to restore balance. It is deeply relaxing, non-invasive, and suitable for people of all ages and health backgrounds.

Sessions work with the body's energy field to ease tension, reduce anxiety, support recovery, and promote a sense of calm and wellbeing. Reiki does not replace medical treatment but is an excellent complement to physiotherapy and other clinical care.

  • Promotes deep relaxation and stress reduction
  • Supports recovery from illness, injury, and surgery
  • Helps ease anxiety, fatigue, and emotional tension
  • Suitable for all — no prior experience required

Why Combine Reiki with Physiotherapy?

The Clinical and the Energetic — Together

Christine's background as a physiotherapist gives her a unique understanding of how the body holds tension and responds to treatment. Reiki offered alongside clinical physiotherapy creates a more complete approach — addressing both the physical structure and the energetic state of the person.

Many clients find that Reiki accelerates their recovery, improves their sleep, and deepens the benefits of physiotherapy sessions.

Sessions

What to Expect

Before Your Session

A brief conversation about your health, any specific concerns, and what you'd like to experience. No preparation is required — just comfortable clothing and an openness to rest.

During Your Session

You lie fully clothed on a treatment table while Christine uses gentle hand placements or works just above the body. Sessions are quiet, unhurried, and deeply calming. Most people experience a state of deep relaxation or light sleep.

After Your Session

Clients typically feel noticeably lighter, calmer, and more present. Some experience improved sleep or reduced pain in the days following. It is advisable to drink water and rest gently after a session.
